I’m debating going to college for event planning or taking a certification course. Any advice?

This really depends on where you are in life, if you already have a college degree and how certain you are that event planning is for you. If you are in high school then going to college and taking courses in event planning is a great idea. If you are not in high school then start with a basic at-home course to first make sure you love the planning industry enough to pursue it. After you know that you love it, then start volunteering at different events and build your portfolio. As you’re doing that, you can decide if you should get certified but for now there are many things you can do to further your career without jumping into a certification program.

The course on this site is pretty good. I went through it and it was really helpful.
